BALKANVELO AD is a traditional bicycle producer with more than 60 years history. It’s quite probable for some people to remember the model “balkan” the well-known bicycle which was a most popular and sold in Bulgaria during so many years.

Today, REACTOR brand is a registered trade mark of BALKANVELO AD. We offer  a contemporary range of bicycles starting from the low, passing by middle and reaching the high level, developed with new technologies and assembled with high quality components. Each REACTOR bike offers you a pleasure from comfort and safe riding. With its creative design the new REACTOR collections impress and draw the attention, that makes them well-known more than 10 years.

The company has adopted the quality control system ISO 9001 and it is a member of the Association of Bulgarian Producers of Bicycles. Except for bicycles BALKANVELO AD is producing single and double alloy rims, carriers and forks. The main part of the production is for export and for the local market the company realize the distribution through its own stores or sales representative. Our main trade partners in Bulgaria are TECHNOPOLIS, BAUMAX and METRO.

History

Balkan AD – a bicycles manufacturer with more than half a century history.

The company was established in 1941 as a state factory for production and repair of airplanes. It has developed bicycle production since 1957. During this period we (the company) gained experience and created traditions in bicycle manufacturing.

The company is located in the industrial area of Lovech on 1 313 300 m2, about 100 000m² are buildings with production purposes.
Balkan bicycles have proven not only their reliability and quality, but also as most popular and top selling bicycles in Bulgaria.

Today main import and export activities are executed by the subsidiary company – Balkanvelo AD. It is certified under ISO 9001 and is member of the Association of the Bicycle Producers in Bulgaria (ABPB).

Now our bicycles are named REACTOR.
REACTOR is a registered trademark of Balkanvelo AD. The REACTOR collection is annually updated and designed following latest worldwide trends, which guarantees the unique outlook and appearance of our bicycles.
We consider the specific requirements of our customers and offer our own design bicycles, produced by modern technology with high quality components, providing maximum comfort and delight in riding.

Balkanvelo AD is the only bicycle manufacturer in Bulgaria, which has more than ten participations in international bicycle expos to its credit. We traditionally take part in EUROBIKE – which is the biggest bicycle expo in the world, where we present our latest models and collections.
